How I felt in the past

Hi everyone, today is a strange day because It’s Monday and I have to write on this blog haha well, today I’m going to write about English Language Challenges

About my experience learning English at the university, I only had English this year with Mr Eric at the first semester and Mr Victor at the second. If I’m honest I say that second semester was more fun than the first. Maybe because we were less students on the group and the teacher was nice. Also, the activities made us talk a lot, so I spoke a lot with classmates that I have never talked. Finally, in a general way, I think that English is important because in the health area you have to read papers and go to conferences where you have to talk with people who know a lot of Dentistry but don’t speak in Spanish

About my English, I think that I have to learn more vocabulary and talk in public, because I feel that it is difficult for me when for example the teacher told me that I have to read in front of the class. To fix this, I think that I have to talk with people on English and see movies with English Language, so in this way I could learn typical words, talk more, etc.
In these days , I think that I only talk in English when my friends are playing and someone says  the rule of talk only in English haha Also, I see TV series and movies in English (I don’t like dubbing in Latin Spanish

So, this is the end! I only wish to other students dont have english on friday because is a torture haha

changes on my faculty

Hi everyone, like all Fridays, today is a Blog’s day!
Today I’m going to write about some changes that I would make  to  my  study program (career) which is Dentistry at Universidad de Chile

About Faculty facilities I would repair the surveillance cameras. I think this is important to feel safety on the faculty. I say this because a few of months ago someone stole my bike and no one did anything because the cameras didn't work. Also, I would repair Preclinicos, the place where you rehearse clinical treatments. I would repair it because these have bad lights, false heads in bad condition, etc. and is important have this space in good condition for be a good professional.

About teaching methods, I have seen the discrepancy of criteria, especially on Simulation. For this problem, I would make courses like  method of evaluation and also a leveling of knowledge between all the teachers. I think this is so important, because the last semester, a lot of friends failed this subject  because teachers have different criteria.

One of the most critical problem in the faculty is the lack of patient on the clinic. This problem make that clinical students failed  their subjects because don’t have patients for the minimum number of treatment that they have to do.
Finally, I would decrease the duration of studies because I think that 6 years, like minimum, is horrible!! Haha I think that maximum 4 years with a doctorate and magister.

I hope that one day I could repair this problems.

TV series and movies

Hi everyone, Today is Friday! And like all Friday, It’s blog’s day haha Today’s topic is Movies or Series you like.

Well, talking about this will be difficult because I’m a fan of  watching TV series and movies, so I couldn't choose between all that I have seen.

About TV series, I love The Big Bang Theory. This tells the story about the life of a nerd group of friends that, for example, don’t know how to talk to a girl or make social life haha Another TV series that I have seen is Grey’s Anatomy. This is a longer TV series which has 13 seasons with 25 chapters each! And I saw all of them haha This tells the story about a group of doctors in a hospital with their medical cases and social life. I confess that I have cried a lot with this TV series because it is tragic.

About movies, I think that I love all Nolan and Tarantino’s movies. For example, Batman, Interstellar, Memento and The Prestige are Nolan’ movies, but my favorite of him is Inception, where the principal actor is Leonardo Di Caprio like Dom Cobb. In this movie, he is a skilled thief who steals valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. About Tarantino, my favorite is Pulp Fiction starred by John Travolta and Uma Thurman. This tells about the lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster's wife, and a pair of dinner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.

So, I hope you could see this Tv Series and movies because they are the best!

Summer Holidays

Hi everybody!
Today, like any Friday, I am going to talk to  you about a topic. This Friday the topic is Summer Holidays.

Well, I don’t intend to go to someplace this summer because I have to work, but maybe if I have the choice, I would like to visit someplace in Chile, especially the south because I don’t like hot weather and I know all the north because I lived there when I was a child.

I would like to visit Torres del Paine, because I have read a lot about this place and people say it is a beautiful place. Torres del Paine is in the last region of Chile, so that is more interesting for me.

Before getting to  Torres del Paine, I would like to visit Punta Arenas, which is in the road, because is the city where my dad was born. After this, I would like to go to Torres to camp and trekking for the different places around this park, the best of this is that you don’t have electricity so I will be disconnected from the society for a few days. Obviously, the end of this part of the trip would be with a picture with the Torres behind me.

After this I would like to visit Coyhaique because my cousin, which is like my sister, lives there with her son and husband.

Well, this would be my summer holiday if I could go out of this horrible city haha

Feminism movement

Hi everybody, today I’m going to talk you about a movement which today is so popular. This is the feminism movement.
This movement has a long history. I think that women are always fighting for their rights. For example, only in 1887 Chile has the first female physician, after around 50 years that the Universidad de Chile was founded.
This year we saw an overcrowding of this movement after the murder of a girl on Argentina in hands of 4 guys. We could see after this that many girls started to use the hashtag #Niunamenos, especially on the internet, which I thing was a great idea, but the real change is not on the internet. I think the change star for yourself, leaving aside male sexism. For example, we (the girls) couldn't wait that a man pay for us! Did you ever answer yourself why they have to do that?, or why a guy couldn't dress with pink clothes? Because is a girl’s color? Respect this, we have to think that feminism is not only for women, also involve men, because the patriarchy has imposed a way of living which include man like the boss of the family, cold and strong person.
I want one day could walk around the street with the cloth that I want.
I want to go out with a short and walk peacefully. I
 want to go out late and walk without afraid.
I want that one day, if a have a son, he could do anything what he want and dress like he want.
I hope that one day, my girl friends could arrive to anyplace and I didn't have to call her asking if she arrive good
Because… we free want to be! :)

Postgraduate course

Hi everyone! This day Im going to talk to you about Postgraduate studies.

Today, I am studying Dentistry, specifically second year, at Universidad de Chile. In the future, when I am a dentist, I would like to study a postgraduate related with kids, because I love them. I think they are a part of the population which could learn in a easy way.For example, you can teach them and they will do it for the rest of their lives. I would like this course to teach me about child anatomy and psychology, because you have to understand the behavior of child to treat them in the best way.

I would like to study this at  the same university (Universidad de Chile), because it is one of the best universities on the country. But, Im not reluctant to study abroad, because when you study in another country, you learn a lot of things, not only academic things. For example, you learn at different culture, a different language, etc.

 I would like to study the theoretical part of this course  online, because You only have to read and read (and read haha) to learn. The practical part I would like to study in a face-to-face way with real kids haha I hope that this course will be part-time, because in this way I could work  as a dentist.
